Hi, I'm Josh, the host and property manager for the Railway Retreat and these are my two kids, Rassa and Sarva. We are thrilled to welcome you to the Railway Retreat website and hope you choose to book with us.

At the Railway Retreat, we aim to provide you with a 5-star experience in every possible way. We spent nearly a year designing, remodeling and procuring the perfect furniture and artwork to bring the vision of the Railway Retreat to life. No detail was left undone in remodeling this 1906 Sears home, ensuring this timeless gem was restored to honor it's history but also modernized for todays living. Two new bathrooms, a new furnace, epoxy floors in the basement, repainted from top to bottom, new carpet in the bedrooms, new window treatments, terrazzo flooring in the main bath, and new insulation are just a few of the updated features to make your stay incredibly comfortable. When it comes to furnishings, we prioritized getting quality furniture from estate sales and auctions, supplemented with high quality new pieces, rather than cheap "fast furniture" that may photograph well but lacks comfort and quality. Finally, we adorned the place with original art pieces, train memorabilia and family heirlooms from the time when my father and grandfather worked on the railroad, we hope the authenticity of the experience comes through during your stay.

Most importantly, we have a steadfast committment to the highest quality service during your stay. Cleanliness is a bit of an obsession and we try to provide you with many of the little conveniences that you'd like to have at home. We've earned Superhost status and strive to ensure we quickly answer any questions you have before or during your stay.
